Virtual Screening Room Closes on June 17

After 14 months of online screenings, we will be retiring the Virtual Screening Room on Thursday, June 17 so that we can focus our energies on the big screen.

Our mission at the Coolidge is to entertain, inform, and engage — building a vital community through film culture. When the pandemic forced us to close our doors, virtual screenings became a way we could keep bringing you the curated programming that we’re known for, from Academy Award-winning feature films to compelling short film programs.

Thanks to your rentals of those films, plus the countless other ways you’ve supported us over the past months, we’ve finally been able to get back to building that community in person again. A number of films, including Jen Rainin’s documentary Ahead of the Curve and Roy Andersson’s About Endlessness, are still available, for those who want to watch a final film or two before June 17. If you have already rented a film but have not watched it yet, you will still be able to after June 17.

For those still looking for some Coolidge virtual content, our YouTube channel remains full of free Q&As, panels, interviews and more with filmmakers, both virtual and in person.

Thank you again for your support of the Coolidge, and we look forward to seeing you back in person soon!
