Part of the 2019 Boston Jewish Film Festival. Followed by a conversation with director Ramy Katz.

On the night of March 5, 2002, Druze policeman Salim Barakat responded to a call about a shooter opening fire on civilians at a Tel Aviv restaurant. He died that night, a hero murdered by a terrorist. But soon after, Salim’s brother, Jamal, began to hear accounts that conflicted with the official report. Cause of Death follows Jamal’s investigative journey to uncover the facts surrounding his brother’s death, an experience that exposes uncomfortable truths about the position of the Druze minority in Israel.
