Health & Safety Guidelines

Health & Safety Guidelines

Overview

Our staff has been hard at work the past year to adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, to make the theatre safe for the Coolidge community. We ask that our patrons and staff adhere to the following guidelines and be aware of the steps we are taking to ensure everyone's health and safety. As the situation evolves, we will continue to adhere to the guidelines and standards set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local and state health authorities, and to the voluntary CinemaSafe guidelines developed by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO).

What’s Changed at the Coolidge?

For the time being, our box office is closed, so all bookings must be made online at coolidge.org prior to your visit.

We’ve upgraded our HVAC with high MERV-rated filters and new, state-of-the-art Continuous Infectious Microbial Reduction (CIMR) Systems technology. These new systems dramatically increase our air quality and filtration capabilities throughout the building, reducing viruses, bacterias, molds, and other pathogens in the air.

We’ve allotted extra staff time for enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of our theatres, restrooms, and common areas. Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the building, and are refilled throughout the day. Signage has been posted throughout the building to direct traffic and remind visitors of our guidelines.

We’ve installed plexiglass barriers with help from The Makery at our concessions and bar counters to protect both staff and patrons. Within the theaters, along with the upgraded HVAC, we’ve roped off seats to assist with social distancing for Private Movie Party rentals and implemented a dynamic reserved seating technology to assist with social distancing during screenings.

VISITOR PROTOCOLS

Your booking will need to be made online in advance of your visit. All seats will be reserved in advance as part of the ticketing process. Seating for all screenings will be set up using a dynamic reserved seating technology that will create a social distance buffer around seats purchased for an individual, a couple, or a family.

In compliance with state guidelines, we will offer limited seating capacity for all of our screenings (15% capacity).

All guests will be required to wear face masks that cover mouth and nose at all times. Concessions will not be available for purchase for public screenings for the time being.

Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the building, and are refilled throughout the day.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with anyone known to have been exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19, please cancel your visit to the theatre—we will fully refund your order. Before you leave, consider using the restroom at home to reduce bathroom traffic at the theatre.

PRIVATE MOVIE PARTY PROTOCOLS

Your booking will need to be made online in advance of your visit, and during your checkout process you will be required to agree to our safety procedures. Anyone who has not reviewed and agreed to those procedures will not be admitted to the building.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with anyone known to have been exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19, please cancel your visit to the theatre—we will fully refund your order. Before you leave, consider using the restroom at home to reduce bathroom traffic at the theatre.

When you arrive, you’ll be asked to sign in for contact tracing purposes. We’re staggering rental arrival and exit times, so you’ll be the only party present in the lobby at your designated time. While in the building, please maintain 6 feet of social distance from others in all common areas. Inside the theatres, you may only sit in the designated, socially distant seats made available. While seated, patrons must wear masks except when eating or drinking. We ask that you please dispose of any trash yourself in the designated bins next to the exits. We’ve installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the building, and encourage using them as well as washing your hands in restrooms frequently.

Remember that your rental duration is two hours, so please make sure to wrap up promptly so our staff has time to clean and disinfect before the next party arrives for their rental.

STAFF PROTOCOLS

All Coolidge staff complete mandatory wellness checks before starting their shifts. Staff are provided face masks that cover the mouth and nose. We’ve installed plexiglass barriers with help from The Makery at our concessions and bar counters to protect both staff and patrons. Sanitizer stations have been installed in staff areas.

All staff have been trained to adhere to strict social distancing and cleaning protocols, and will consistently clean the theatres, restrooms, and common areas.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@coolidge.org if we can provide any further assistance before, during, or after your visit.
