Health & Safety Guidelines

Reopening Safety

Overview

Our staff has been hard at work the past year to adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, to make the theatre safe for the Coolidge community. We ask that our patrons and staff adhere to the following guidelines and be aware of the steps we are taking to ensure everyone's health and safety. As the situation evolves, we will continue to adhere to the guidelines and standards set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local and state health authorities, and to the voluntary CinemaSafe guidelines developed by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO).

Last updated Monday, August 30, 2021.

What’s Changed at the Coolidge?

We’ve upgraded our HVAC with high MERV-rated filters and new, state-of-the-art Continuous Infectious Microbial Reduction (CIMR) Systems technology. These new systems dramatically increase our air quality and filtration capabilities throughout the building, reducing viruses, bacterias, molds, and other pathogens in the air.

We’ve allotted extra staff time for enhanced cleaning of our theatres, restrooms, and common areas. Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the building, and are refilled throughout the day. Signage has been posted throughout the building to direct traffic and remind visitors of our guidelines.

We’ve installed plexiglass barriers with help from The Makery at our concessions and bar counters to protect both staff and patrons.
