The Coolidge has expanded! On March 27, 2024, our new wing opens to the public.
While our historic marquee and theaters remain unchanged, our new 14,000-sq.-ft. space includes:
- Two new theaters (Moviehouse 5 with 145 seats and Moviehouse 6 with 49 seats)
- An expanded lobby, featuring indoor ticketing and combined concessions and bar
- An Education and Community Engagement space for classes, private events, and more
So with all of these changes, what do you need to know before you go?
What to Expect
- We have a NEW entrance, via the Centre Street parking lot. (Don’t worry, we’ll have signs pointing you in the right direction!) The current entrance (via the side alley) will be exit only.
- We’ll have TWO concessions and bars, and they’ll be combined. (In other words, you don’t have to stand in two separate lines to order a beer and a popcorn. You’re welcome.) There will be a concession and bar in both the new lobby and in the historic theatre (hours for this concession/bar area may vary).
- All ticket purchases will now be indoors! Again, you’re welcome.
- The Screening Room will now be called Moviehouse 3, and the GoldScreen will now be called Moviehouse 4.
- Most of our lines will now be indoors as well. Staff members will be on hand to tell you where you need to wait (if applicable).
- We now have six All Gender, ADA-compliant restrooms. Additional restrooms are available throughout the building.
