Veteran Children: When Parents Go To War is a half-hour documentary film that focuses on the impact of war on America’s military families, especially children. Our nation has been at war for 18 years yet few people know that more than 2.7 million military children have a mother or father, or both, who has deployed to our post 9/11 wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Syria.
The film highlights the voices of military children who speak candidly about what they experience when their parent deploys to war. They tell us about their struggles and sacrifices as well as how they cope and demonstrate remarkable strengths.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Home Base.
