Coolidge Means Community

The Coolidge Corner Theatre has been at the heart of the Brookline community since it opened in 1933. Established as a nonprofit in 1989, members and donors have played a vital role in the life of the Coolidge. Today we serve a vibrant, diverse population from throughout Greater Boston. Our educational programs, partnerships, and collaborations are designed to educate, entertain, and encourage dialogue and connections among the broadest possible audience.

Please note that memberships are approximately one third tax deductible and cannot be purchased using Donor Advised Funds as per IRS regulations. Gifts made via DAF cannot be legally refunded and therefore will be considered as a donation.

*Discounted rates are also available for Students, Seniors (adults 62+) and Out-of-Town residents (30 miles outside of Brookline). The Out-of-Town membership is NOT available to residents of the following towns: Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Brookline, Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Dedham, Everett, Lexington, Lynn, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Milton, Newton, Needham, Quincy, Revere, Saugus, Somerville, Stoneham, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley, Winchester, Winthrop, Woburn.

The Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, nonprofit, educational and cultural charitable organization. Approximately one-third of your membership is tax-deductible as allowed by law. The Coolidge recommends that members consult with their tax advisor for definitive tax guidance.

Please also note that recent Treasury guidance provides that grants from Donor Advised Funds may not provide any personal benefit to the donor and therefore cannot be used to purchase Coolidge memberships. If you decline to receive any member benefits, your contribution to the Coolidge may be funded 100% through your DAF.
