Trailblazing director Mira Nair made her mark on the international film scene when she won the best first feature prize (Caméra d'Or) for Salaam Bombay! at the Cannes Film Festival in 1988. 

Since then, Nair continues to center vibrant stories from underrepresented communities that challenge expectations around issues of love, success, and belonging.

The Coolidge Corner Theatre is an independent, nonprofit cinema and cultural institution with six screens, an Education & Community Engagement Center, and the capacity for more than 900 audience members.
