We’re kicking off 2026 with the return of our popular sci-fi “Projections” series, this time focused on authoritarianism; The Testament of Ann Lee in 70mm; January Giallo After Midnite; two multi-week classes; and more.
Read on for everything we’re screening at the Coolidge Corner Theatre this January!
Projections
Dystopia now? This January, prepare yourself for an uneasy look into the future-that’s-already-here, as our sci-fi Projections series presents a cinematic dispatch from the brink. Be sure to sign up for the class we have runnning in tandem with Tuesday night screenings!
Big Screen Classics
Watch certified classics the way they were meant to be seen. This month, catch The Elephant Man, Who Framed Roger Rabbit with Rodger Rabbit creator Gary K. Wolf, and more!
Coolidge After Midnite
Each January, we like to pour ourselves a glass of J&B whiskey, sharpen our straight razor, and slip on a pair of black gloves to celebrate Italy’s answer to murder mysteries and thrillers: the Giallo! Catch these films on Saturday nights (co-presented by our friends at Cinematic Void and American Cinematheque), and see what terrifying offerings we have on Fridays.
Cult Classics
Our signature program dedicated to showcasing films with fervent fan bases and unforgettable impact! This month's picks are V for Vendetta, the director's cut of Robocop, and A Clockwork Orange.
Coolidge Education
Take one of our classes on dystopian films or American journalism, learn more at a seminar before The Elephant Man, and show your short film at Open Screen!
Cinema Masala
Our new series co-presented by the Film Heritage Foundation, celebrating Indian cinema! This month, see Manthan, a film entirely financed by 500,000 dairy farmers.
Cinema in 70mm
The Testament of Ann Lee comes to the Coolidge in 70mm! Experience this grandiose film in this glorious format. Also, Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme continues in 70mm for a limited time, so catch that while you can!
Kids' Shows
Movies, magic, and more! Take the whole family to see Happy Feet, How to Train Your Dragon, Monsters, Inc., or a comedy juggling show!
