Join the Boston Comic Arts Foundation and Brookline Booksmith for an evening with ND Stevenson to celebrate his novel, Scarlet Morning! A screening of Nimona, the 2023 film adaptation of his 2015 graphic novel, will be followed by a discussion with the author.

Nimona tells the tale of a Knight (Riz Ahmed) who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, and the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shape-shifting teen who might also be a monster he’s sworn to kill. Set in a techno-medieval world unlike anything animation has tackled before, this is a story about acceptance and the labels we assign to people. The film is based on the NYT best-selling graphic novel of the same name by ND Stevenson.

About ND Stevenson

ND Stevenson is the award-winning, bestselling author and illustrator of Nimona and The Fire Never Goes Out and the co-creator of Lumberjanes. Additionally, he was the showrunner for the award winning Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. He currently lives in Los Angeles.

Ticket options include general admission OR general admission and a copy of Scarlet Morning. Additional copies will be available for sale from Brookline Booksmith. There will be no Coolidge member comps for this screening, though member discounted tickets will be available.
