Seminar: The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

30mins
Body

Before the film, join us for a seminar taught by Boston Globe film critic and author of Black Caesars and Foxy Cleopatras: A History of Blaxploitation Cinema Odie Henderson!

A year before the infamous NY Daily News headline Ford to City: Drop Dead, Walter Matthau starred in the greatest New York City movie ever made. The Taking of Pelham One Two Three is a gritty tour of a city descending into bankruptcy--and not just because Robert Shaw and his cronies are holding an MTA subway train for $1 million ransom. Odie Henderson brings his firsthand experiences of 1970s NYC to the Coolidge to discuss a classic crime film with one hell of an ending. Gesundheit.

As seminars are live and brief, there will be *no admission permitted 10 minutes after seminars have begun.* Please make every effort to be on time so as not to disrupt the speaker and your fellow audience members.
