RRR
RRR (short for Rise! Roar! Revolt!) is an exhilarating, action-packed spectacular mythologizing two real-life freedom fighters who helped lead India’s fight for independence.
Set in the early 1920s in a British-controlled India, a dastardly governor abducts a tribal songstress, setting town elder Bheem (N.T. Rama Rao, Jr.) on a revenge path. Within the colonial army, one-man supersoldier Rama (Ram Charan) is tasked with protecting the governor from insurgents at all costs... while unknowingly befriending Bheem. The bond between brothers is tested as fire and water converge on a path of righteous fury, leading to history-shaking events rarely depicted on-screen for Western audiences.
With a powerful message, staggeringly choreographed action sequences, and an all-timer of a musical number, RRR is sheer big-screen joy from start to finish, and audiences have one last chance to see it big and loud as intended.
