Night of the Demon (1957)
Body
What evil thing struck terror into these people?
Over a decade after Cat People and I Walked With a Zombie, director Jacques Tourneur crafted another chilling thriller, the folk horror classic Night of the Demon (retitled Curse of the Demon in the United States). Dana Andrews stars as an American psychologist in London, who starts to uncover a satanic cult while visiting for a conference. He's a skeptic of the supernatural, but as he digs deeper and encounters more horrors he can't explain, his faith in science is tested.
