Featuring an introduction (via Zoom) by Brian Raftery, author of BEST. MOVIE. YEAR. EVER.

Paul Thomas Anderson's sprawling character study follows 10 people whose damaged lives intersect—often by sheer coincidence—during a single day in Southern California's San Fernando Valley.

Through a collusion of coincidence, chance, human action, shared media, past history and divine intervention, these people will weave and warp through each other's lives on a day that builds to an unforgettable climax. Some will seek forgiveness, others escape. Some will mend frayed bonds, others will be exposed. Anderson's film was nominated for three Oscars, and features an outstanding ensemble cast including Coolidge Award honoree Julianne Moore, Tom Cruise (nominated for an Oscar for his work here), Philip Seymour Hoffman, William H. Macy, John C. Reilly, Jason Robards, Melora Walters, and Philip Baker Hall.
