Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory stars Gene Wilder as everyone's favorite weird and wonderful candy man, who starts a frenzy the world-over with the announcement that five golden tickets stashed away inside the wrappers of his candy bars will allow the winners a peek inside his top-secret confectionery.

Once inside, five lucky children and their guardians, including meek little Charlie Bucket and his grandpa, discover a world wilder than they could have imagined: rivers of chocolate, lickable wallpaper, and, of course, Oompa Loompas. It's all fun, games, sweets, and songs, but some of the children discover there are consequences for their bad behavior inside the factory, while poor little Charlie finds he may have won the grandest prize of them all.
