George Cukor's adaptation of Philip Barry's hit play, starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart.

Tracy Samantha Lord (Hepburn) is the daughter of a wealthy family and about to marry for the second time. On the eve of the wedding, her ex-husband (Grant) appears, with a tabloid reporter (Stewart) by his side in an attempt to kill a character-damning news story on her father. As things evolve into a love triangle (or square), Tracy is forced to take an unflinching look at herself to realize who she truly loves.

Winner of two Academy Awards including Best Screenplay, The Philadelphia Story remains one of the most beloved comedies of the 1940s.
