Seminar: Scarface (1983)
Brian DePalma's Scarface tells the iconic tale of a poor immigrant's rise to crime boss and tragic fall to infamy.
This seminar will examine the film through the lens of cross-cultural appropriation and interpolation, exploring how its mythos has migrated into various spheres of pop culture as well as how it came to occupy a unique imaginative space in the history of hip hop.
