The Girl with the Golden Hands
Body
A small East German provincial town in 1999: Gudrun grew up in a German orphanage that the mayor is intending to sell to an investor who plans to turn it into a hotel.
The townspeople all seem to agree, but Gudrun has always shown complete devotion to her hometown since her childhood at the orphanage and will do anything to stop the sale. In the end, her daughter Lara, husband Werner, and a final deed are all that can help her.
