Featuring guests from The Huntington's production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, running October 8 to November 8, 2026.

Rob Reiner’s fiery and compelling adaptation of Aaron Sorkin’s play about a green JAG Corps lawyer assigned to a troubling court martial case allows Cruise to sink his teeth into an array of courtroom dramatics. Yes, everyone remembers his explosive climactic tete-a-tete with Nicholson’s bullying Colonel Nathan Jessep, but each of Cruise’s interactions with the entire cast—from Moore’s Lieutenant Commander courtroom assist to Bacon’s opposing lawyer—is a master class in on-screen chemistry. And Sorkin’s script remains vital for its scathing takedown of the military mindset that following orders usurps larger codes of human morality.

The Huntington's production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird runs October 8 though November 8, 2026 at The Huntington Theatre. More information and tickets can be found here.
