Seminar: Daisies

This seminar will cover the film's production history and reception, while also offering a brief overview of Vera Chytilova's and co-writer Ester Krumbachová careers. 

We will also explore how Daisies fits into the Czech New Wave, and its playfully rebellious messaging made within a regulated political system.

About Alex Kittle 

Alex Kittle is an illustrator and zinemaker, head projectionist at the Brattle Theatre, and an overall movie enthusiast. She co-hosts the screening and discussion series Strictly Brohibited, which highlights films made by women, trans, and gender-expansive filmmakers. She holds an M.A. in Art History from Boston University.
