The Coolidge Corner Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation today named 35 independent, nonprofit organizations as the 2017 - 2018 recipients of Science on Screen® grants. Each organization will receive a grant of up to $8,500 to develop or sustain its own Science on Screen program. Since the inception of this national grant initiative in 2011, the Coolidge and the Sloan Foundation have awarded 164 grants to 72 independent cinemas across the country.
