Combine John Carpenter's (HalloweenThe Thing) signature directorial style, the supernatural writing from Stephen King (Cat's EyePet Semetary), and a red 1958 Plymouth Fury and you've got one of the slickest, eeriest possessed car movies ever made.

After buying his new car and naming it Christine, highschooler Arnie (Keith Gordan) goes from nerd to the most popular kid in school. But wearing new clothes and dating the prettiest girl in class aren't the only changes going on, as Christine's murderous side emerges by trampling, burning, and choking anyone who gets in its way. With its brooding score and brilliant special effects, this is an overlooked gem from one of the true masters of horror.
