Seminar: Thelma & Louise
Starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis in performances that saw them both nominated for Oscars in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category, this film is considered a hallmark of feminist cinema.
This seminar will explore female criminality in Thelma and Louise through a feminist lens. What makes these good girls go bad? And how do they respond to a system that won’t protect them from violence? In this story of how women rebel in a man’s world, we see the choices they make and what they cost–but no matter what, these girls on the run have each other’s backs.
