The unofficial sequel to George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is a classic in its own right.

Where Romero’s zombie tale grew out of the political outrage of the late 1960s, Return is whole-heartedly a child of the 1980s, replete with punks and in garish color.

Written and directed by Dan O’Bannon (screenwriter of Alien), this cannibalistic undead classic shows just how amazingly fun and gory zombie films can be! O’Bannon takes the classic slow moving, slow-witted zombies and evolves them into talking, calculating, skull-chomping corpses.
