RentalsWhile the main screens at the Coolidge are rarely available due to our regular schedule of programs and feature films, we do offer private rentals of our Video Screening Room and MiniMax. These versatile exhibition spaces are perfect for film premieres, private parties, classes and film clubs. Video Screening Room
A private party rental gives you the room to yourself for the block of time you reserve (this does not include space in the upper lobby, only in the Screening Room). You provide the film and we show you how to run it yourself with our very simple press-and-play projection system. Other fees apply for a dedicated projectionist or staff member to help you run the show. There is ample space at the front of the room for a conference table and set-up for snacks. Available hours and rental dates vary depending upon our programming, and the room is very popular. We recommend contacting us to plan your event up to three months in advance (though feel free to ask for whenever you need and we'll let you know what is available). Rental rates: Monday-Thursday: $250 Friday, Saturday, Sunday: $300 Rental rates are for a two-hour block that must fit within our feature film showtime grid. Contact us for details on start and end times. Additional fees: $25.00 outside Food & Beverage fee (alcoholic beverages are not allowed) Screening room rentals are run by the renter with a brief training session on how to use our equipment before the show. However, a dedicated staff person for complex program set-up can be provided at the rate of $50/hour. The MiniMax
Rent the MiniMax and invite your guests to join you for an intimate party "at the movies" - be it a "gala" premiere of your own home videos, a gathering of friends to watch your favorite TV episodes on DVD, a business meeting of film group, or an adult or children's birthday celebration. MiniMax is available for afternoon and evening rentals Sunday-Thursday. Cost is 50% of the Screening Room rental rate (additional fee prices not reduced). Children's Birthday Parties
Both rooms feature digital projection in VHS or DVD. For private parties you can show any film on these formats. You bring the video or DVD - we provide your own mini-theatre. Additionally, each room has a space to accommodate a table for cake, food, presents, etc. We can provide popcorn and soda coupons that can be redeemed at the concession stand. Coupons are good for one child-size popcorn or one small soda and cost $1.00 each (valid only during your party). These coupons are given to you at the start of your rental, and you pay for however many are redeemed at the end of the party. Your Birthday Party rental includes a party coordinator to help you set up for the party, handle technical needs, and assist with the clean up. We do not provide chaperones for the children, the parents or other adult supervisor must be on hand. Setup for your party begins 30 minutes before your rental start time and you have 20 minutes of clean-up time after the party. Everything has to be done and clean no later than 2:00pm. The MiniMax is a unique and flexible space that can be used as a classroom, party space, and video projection room. Located adjacent to our upstairs lobby, the MiniMax features cinema-style seating and video projection in VHS and DVD formats. The room can hold up to 17 people. 
Kids Birthday Movie Parties are available for ages 6-15. Parties take place in the Video Screening Room, which seats a total of 45 people or the MiniMax, which seats 17 people. The rooms are available for kids parties on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00-2:00pm ONLY. The cost is $300 for a 2-hour block in the Screening Room and $200 for a 2-hour block in the MiniMax. 
Use for rushes, film tests, film shoots, or "no service" usage is available only during weekday off hours at a rate of $100/hour (1 hour min.) Photography capture of theater interior space for promotional, commercial background or activity is subject to charges per industry standards. Reservations must be made in advance.
