The Coolidge Corner Theatre

This veritable cinematic treasure maintains all of its original charm, magic, beauty, and drama from its debut in 1942. Casablanca unfolds in a "gin joint," Rick’s, a popular watering hole in Vichey-controlled Morocco on the outskirts of Nazi- dominated Europe. Owner Rick Blaine (Bogart) appears content with his life-- serving customers and making money-- at least until the day Ilsa Lund (Bergman) walks in. The star-crossed lovers try to sort through the politics, both personal and international, just prior to America's entrance into World War II. "Here's lookin' at you, kid" on the big screen.
