CITIZEN KANE![]() Mon, Sept 3 @ 7:00 This is the story of Charles Foster Kane, a multimillionaire newspaper tycoon who dies alone in his extravagant mansion, Xanadu, speaking a single word: "Rosebud". As a reporter attempts to track down the meaning of that word, he interviews people who knew Kane. A series of flashbacks reveals much about Kane’s remarkable, troubled life, but “Rosebud” remains a fetching enigma. A 26-year-old Orson Welles not only starred as Kane, but also directed, produced and co-wrote the screenplay (with Herman J. Mankiewicz). Having repeatedly topped AFI’s 100 Years, 100 Films List and Sight and Sound’s critics poll, CITIZEN KANE is considered by many to be the best film ever made. dir.
