Your Not-For-Profit Independent Theatre
Celebrating 75 Years of Movies on the Big Screen!
In association with a local community business partner, Trader Joe's, we brought democracy to your favorite independent not-for-profit movie theater -- we held an election! Maybe it was the historic presidential election fever this year, but we put the vote to our patrons, members, and Trader Joe's customers to select their top film from each decade since the Coolidge started showing movies. We'll be showcasing each decade's winner every month through July of 2009. Beautifully projected on our giant silver screen, these classic films will transport you from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the best in current World Cinema, shown the way they were meant to be seen. Please join us as we celebrate the history of this beloved movie palace and that of the art of film itself. 75th Big Screen Classics: THE DEPARTEDMon, July 13 @ 7:00 2000s Big Screen Classics Audience Choice Winner Boston Irish mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) believes that if want something bad enough, you should simply take it.
